Ticket Sales
Tickets can only be purchased within the province of Ontario. Tickets are available online at www.thunderbaycatchtheace.ca. Ticket sales begin at 9:00AM each Tuesday, immediately following the conclusion of the previous draw. Tickets are sold in the following bundles: 2 for $5, 5 for $10, 25 for $20, 100 for $50. When purchasing tickets, buyers will select a virtual envelope from the remaining unopened envelopes. Each envelope contains a hidden playing card from a standard 52-card deck. The number of available envelopes decreases by one each week as the weekly winner’s chosen envelope is revealed. Each purchase is associated with a single envelope, regardless of the number of tickets in the order. Multiple envelopes cannot be selected within the same order. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be sold each week. All tickets will be delivered via email. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure they receive their tickets. However, physical possession of the ticket is not required to be entered into the draw. If you do not receive your tickets, please email us at info@thunderbaycatchtheace.ca.
Draws, Prizes, & Winners
Ticket sales close each Monday at 11:59p.m, and all qualified tickets will be confirmed. A single ticket number will be drawn weekly using a Random Number Generator (RNG) system from all tickets sold that week. The draw will take place at 9AM on Tuesday, the following morning; under the supervision of an approved raffle management team. Each week, the winning ticket holder will receive a cash prize equal to 20% of the ticket sales for that week. Following the draw, the hidden playing card in the envelope selected by the winner will be revealed. If the Ace of Spades is revealed, the winner will also claim the Thunder Bay Catch the Ace Progressive Jackpot, which is 30% of all ticket sales accumulated over the course of the raffle. The raffle will then conclude. If a different card is revealed, 30% of the ticket sales for that week will be added to the Progressive Jackpot, and the raffle will continue with a new weekly draw. The minimum guaranteed value of the Progressive Jackpot is $5,000. If the Ace of Spades is revealed before total sales reach $16,666.66, this amount will be awarded. Once sales exceed this figure, the Progressive Jackpot will grow as outlined. The winning ticket number, weekly prize amount, and the revealed playing card will be posted on www.thunderbaycatchtheace.ca after each draw. Winners will also be contacted by phone. All winners will be paid by cheque issued by the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation. Ticket holders do not need to be present at the draw to win or claim their prize. Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and a charitable allocation will be made, subject to prior approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. The winner must provide valid photo identification, verifying their full name and address, in order to claim their prize.
